Yvonne

I have been practicing different types of yoga for over 15years,these being Hatha, Jivamukti, Sun Power, Yin and Restorative. I look upon yoga as a journey that I continue to travel and learn from. I enjoy all that yoga brings to me.  Yoga is not just about the exercise of my physical body, but the wonderful peace and stillness it brings to my mind. It allows me to be at one with my body gaining a truly holistic healing experience.

My aim in class is to be able to enrich my students’ lives by guiding them to experience the full potential experience of yoga. This will take place in an environment that will allow my students to feel, safe, secure and relaxed.

One of the reasons that I teach Yin and Restorative Yoga is that it provides a deep physical stretch right down into the deep muscles and joints, while being supported, safe and secure with bolsters cushions and props. The quiet peaceful atmosphere allows the mind to calm and quieten while the body relaxes into the pose and all the while experiencing a beautiful meditative process.

Don’t we all deserve this? After a week of rushing around all day coping with everyone else’s needs. Why not take time out to restore our bodies and mind. I believe that we need both elements of Yin and Yang yoga in our life; the Yang which is the active and Yin / Restorative which is deeper, slower and calming.

The best part of teaching this yoga is at the end of class you experience the dramatic change in the energy and harmony within the room as peace, harmony and tranquillity take over the class; the students don’t want to leave the experience.
